At its virtual smarter living 2024 event today, Xiaomi introduced four new smart AIoT ecosystem products in India. The Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10, Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Buds 5A, and Xiaomi handheld garment steamer are on the list.
The company president, Muralikrishnan B, stated during the keynote address that has sold over 700 million connected devices worldwide, excluding smartphones, and he reiterated the company’s commitment to “enhancing every aspect of users through technology.”
To celebrate its ten years in India, Xiaomi also unveiled the Redmi Note 13 AFA edition in addition to the smart home devices. On April 30, the limited-edition model will go on sale.

Highlights of the Xiaomi Smarter Living 2024 Event
Redmi Pad SE:
Considered as your “daily companion” for both education and amusement, the entry-level Pad SE is designed to be used for both. Its body is composed of metal. It is lightweight, weighing only approximately 478g. An 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1920 x 1200p resolution and a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate is located on the front. The tablet has a 400 nit peak brightness and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Redmi Pad SE’s internal components include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB of eMMC5.1 storage. Micro-SD allows for up to 1TB of expansion. Xiaomi’s MIUI Pad 14, which is based on Android 13, is in charge. The tablet is powered by an 8,000mAh battery, with a maximum charging power of 10W. USB Type-C is available for data syncing and charging. Dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 are supported by the Redmi Pad SE. Its two cameras are a 5-megapixel front-facing and an 8-megapixel back camera. You get quad speakers with native Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5mm audio connection, and Hi-Res audio support. The sole biometric authentication method available is face unlock; there is no hardware fingerprint reader. For Rs 1,299, a Redmi Pad SE cover will be offered separately.
Redmi Buds 5A:
The Buds 5A are budget-friendly wireless earbuds that provide AI-powered active noise cancellation (up to 25dB) for voice calls. The IPX4-rated earbuds enable low latency mode (via Bluetooth 5.4) and Google Fast Pair. They feature touch-based control (tap to play music, for example) and sync with Xiaomi’s earphones app. With a case, Xiaomi promises up to 30 hours of battery life between charges.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10:
Boasting 4,000pa suction and LDS-based laser tracking for a “professional and accurate” room cleaning, the S10 is a smart home robot vacuum cleaner. Xiaomi claims that the hoover cleaner can store numerous maps in memory and supports both Y-shaped and zigzag mapping. With up to three cleaning settings, it features a dual-purpose container design for both dust and water. For controls, the device pairs with Xiaomi’s home app.
Xiaomi handheld garment steamer:
Described as the “ideal travel companion,” this garment steamer is small and lightweight. The steamer has a stream rate of 24 grammes per minute and 1300 watts of electricity. It allows for both vertical and horizontal steaming and has a 160 ml water holding capacity. According to Xiaomi, steaming your clothes gets rid of 99 percent of bacteria and allergies while leaving a light scent behind.

The Redmi Pad SE is expected to go on sale on April 24 for a starting price of Rs 12,999 (4GB/128GB). The Redmi Buds 5A are expected to go on sale on April 29 for a “special price” of Rs 1,499 after being introduced. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 is available for purchase at a “special price” of Rs 19,999, which includes a discount of Rs 1,000 when using specific debit or credit cards. On April 29, “early access” will be granted. The Xiaomi clothes steamer will be on sale on April 29 for “early access,” with a “launch price” of Rs 2,299 in place.
