The forthcoming smartphone, to be called Nothing Phone 2a, has been confirmed by London-based consumer technology start-up Nothing. The name was revealed by the corporation during their quarterly community update session. In addition, the company declared that it will be releasing the Glyph Developer Kit, which will let Android developers add control over the Glyph Interface to their apps. Concurrently, the company announced that Buds and Neckband Pro wireless audio accessories will be available under the reasonably priced CMF brand.

“Phone (2a) has been designed with all of Nothing’s skill and craftsmanship, concentrating on delivering the best possible everyday smartphone experience while doubling down on essential user demands. Nothing stated in a press release that Phone (2a), codenamed Aerodactyl, “uses some of the most beloved Phone (2) features, while ensuring a clear upgrade compared to Phone (1) on every front.”

The forthcoming smartphone’s specifications and debut date have not been disclosed by the manufacturer. On the other hand, Nothing is reportedly preparing to introduce the Phone (2a) during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, California, in February 2024.

Prior until now, a report from the mobile comparison website Smartprix stated that the next Nothing Phone 2a would include two horizontally oriented cameras on its back. Prior iterations of the Nothing Phone (1) and the Nothing Phone (2) included both of these sensors. The Nothing Phone(2a) is anticipated to come with a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor on the front.
