On Sunday, Faruqui was crowned the winner of the reality TV series Bigg Boss 17. The following day, he and his trophy traveled to his hometown of Dongri, Mumbai. As many gathered at Charnal Chowk, Faruqui greeted them, to a thunderous reception from the enthralled audience.

Faruqui had already praised the audience for their love and announced that the trophy had made it to Dongri after winning the trophy.
