On Sunday, Faruqui was crowned the winner of the reality TV series Bigg Boss 17. The following day, he and his trophy traveled to his hometown of Dongri, Mumbai. As many gathered at Charnal Chowk, Faruqui greeted them, to a thunderous reception from the enthralled audience.
ThePrint was informed on Tuesday by Kashif, who identified himself as Faruqui’s buddy, that “we are very happy and proud of him.” “He made a pledge to deliver the trophy to Dongri, and he has kept his word.”

The stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui was taken into custody in January 2021 following a gang of men storming the Indore stage who were members of a Hindu organization. Several cancelled shows ensued, one of which was scheduled to take place in Delhi in September 2022.
